A 28-year-old man from Barwala, Hisar, identified as Vikram, tragically took his own life while live-streaming on Instagram at a guest house in Gurugram’s Sector 38, according to the police report on Tuesday. Vikram, residing in the Rajendra Park police station area in Gurugram, had arrived at the Sector 38 guest house with a female friend from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, to celebrate his birthday on Sunday evening.
After spending the night at the guest house, the woman checked out around 2:30 p.m. on Monday, while Vikram remained behind. On Monday, Vikram went live on Instagram and took his own life, as confirmed by the police. The woman, upon seeing the distressing post, promptly informed the guest house staff, who then contacted the police.
The woman resides in a rented accommodation in Sector 39 and is employed at a real estate company in Gurugram. She and Vikram had formed a friendship a few months ago, and as of now, there have been no complaints filed by the victim’s family.
Vikram, who had been married for six years and had two children, was the victim of this tragic incident. The police are conducting a comprehensive investigation, exploring various angles, and intend to interview the woman to ascertain the underlying reasons behind the suicide, as stated by an officer from Gurugram’s Sadar police station.
