Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday Star in Dream Girl 2, Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa
The eagerly awaited comedy sequel, Dream Girl 2, features Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday in lead roles, with direction by Raaj Shaandilyaa.
The film’s creators unveiled their latest song, “Jamnapaar,” on Monday. Zee Music Company shared the song via Instagram, captioning it, “@pooja___dreamgirl’s love will take you #Jamnapaar. Song out now.” The track features Ayushmann Khurrana, embodying his character Pooja, and is voiced by Neha Kakkar and Meet Bros, with lyrics by Kumaar.
As the song hit social media platforms, fans flooded the comment section with red hearts and fire emoticons, expressing their admiration for Ayushmann’s performance. One fan exclaimed, “Amazing Pooja,” while another marveled, “You’re so graceful, I’m stunned.”
Previously, the film’s creators introduced tracks like “Dil Ka Telephone 2.0” and “Naach,” both of which garnered favorable responses from the audience.
Dream Girl 2 follows in the footsteps of its highly successful predecessor, Dream Girl, which premiered in 2019. This time, Ayushmann shares the screen with Ananya Panday. The first installment proved to be a massive box office hit. The film is helmed by director Raaj Shaandilyaa and produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. It is slated to hit theaters on August 25th.
The film revolves around Ayushmann’s character, who masquerades as a woman named Pooja. The trailer offers glimpses of Ananya Panday, Manjot Singh, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Manoj Joshi, Seema Pahwa, and Vijay Raaz in their respective roles.
