**Two Men from Chhattisgarh Detained in Connection with Rs 25 Crore Jangpura Jewellery Heist**
Delhi Police have taken two individuals into custody from Chhattisgarh in connection with the Rs 25 crore heist that occurred inside a jewelry store in Bhogal, Southeast Delhi. The detained suspects, identified as Lokesh Shrinivas and Shiva, are currently being transported to Delhi. Authorities have also recovered approximately 18 kilograms of gold and diamond jewelry from their possession. Notably, Lokesh Shrinivas has a history of involvement in burglaries targeting jewelry stores.
Senior police officials have revealed that the two suspects are undergoing interrogation regarding their alleged roles and the modus operandi employed during the heist. A senior police officer stated that formal arrests will follow soon.
Furthermore, investigators are questioning the detainees about any other individuals who may have been involved in the incident. The police successfully traced the two men in Chhattisgarh through the efforts of local police and the crime branch.
The heist, which transpired on Sunday night, involved the theft of gold and diamond jewelry worth Rs 25 crore. The suspects entered Umrao Jewellery in Bhogal during the late hours, gaining access through the building’s terrace and drilling a hole into the strongroom. The case is currently under investigation by both the Crime Branch and local police authorities.
