Humayun, a 2018 batch officer of the JKPS, had recently celebrated his marriage and the birth of his daughter.
In response to the tragic incident, Union minister General VK Singh emphasized the need to isolate Pakistan and pressure them into changing their behavior. He stressed that normal relations with Pakistan could only resume when Pakistan itself adopted a more normal stance.
National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah, on the other hand, visited the bereaved family of Humayun Bhat. He expressed concern over the ongoing violence and emphasized the importance of finding a path to peace through dialogue rather than confrontation.
