Syeda Lulu Minhaj Zaidi had left for the US in August 2021 to pursue her dreams, but her family lost contact with her about two months ago. Recently, two compassionate individuals from Hyderabad informed her family of her devastating condition, prompting her mother to seek urgent assistance.
A viral video shared by Amjedullah Khan, a leader of the Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT), showed the deplorable condition of Minhaj Zaidi on the streets of Chicago. In the video, a concerned man can be heard assuring her and offering to arrange food for her, while advising her to return to India to seek support and care.
The heartbreaking visuals of Minhaj Zaidi portray a malnourished woman struggling to express herself, which has deeply shocked the online community. People who knew her since childhood, like Twitter user Fahad Maqsusi, described her as an incredibly studious individual and appealed for assistance in bringing her back to Hyderabad.
The distressing news has caught the attention of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Khaleequr Rahman, who has urged the External Affairs Minister to investigate and address this concerning issue promptly.
