Noida Police Arrests Two Involved in Fake Document Racket for Seema Haider and Sachin Meena’s Marriage
The Noida Police has made significant progress in the case of Seema Haider, a Pakistani woman who crossed the border illegally to marry her Indian lover, Sachin Meena, whom she met through the online mobile game PUBG. Two individuals, Pushpendra and Pawan, were arrested in connection with the case for their involvement in creating fake identity documents, including Aadhaar cards.
The accused duo hails from Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, and ran a Jan Seva Kendra (public service centre) in Ahmadgarh. The centre allegedly served as a front for their illicit activities. Seema Haider and Sachin Meena sought assistance from this centre to obtain the necessary documents for their marriage.
During a thorough interrogation spanning three days, Pushpendra and Pawan confessed to their involvement in a larger fraudulent documentation racket. The police were able to seize 15 fake Aadhaar cards and equipment believed to have been used in the counterfeiting process.
Seema Haider’s journey took a turn when she arrived in Greater Noida with Sachin Meena, intending to get married. She had left Pakistan, where she was already married and had children with Ghulam Haider, to be with Sachin. After converting to Hinduism, Seema and Sachin reportedly got married as per Hindu rituals in Nepal before entering India through Nepal on May 13, accompanied by her children.
However, Seema’s illegal entry into India led to her arrest on July 4, along with the detention of Sachin and his father for providing her shelter. Though released on bail, the couple remained under scrutiny by probe agencies.
While Seema’s estranged husband, Ghulam, expressed a desire to reunite with his wife and children, Seema declared her wish to stay with Sachin and not return to Pakistan. The investigation continues as authorities unravel the complexities surrounding this unusual love story that transcended borders.
