Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh on Thursday to lay the foundation stones for various development projects. In Rajasthan, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for projects related to road, rail, aviation, health, and higher education in Jodhpur, with an estimated value of around ₹5,000 crore. In Madhya Pradesh, he will perform the bhoomi pooja of the ‘Veerangana Rani Durgavati Smarak aur Udyaan’ in Jabalpur and inaugurate, lay the foundation stone, and dedicate development projects in sectors like road, rail, gas pipeline, housing, and clean drinking water, valued at over ₹12,600 crores.
In Rajasthan, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for projects aimed at strengthening the state’s healthcare infrastructure. These include a 350-bed ‘Trauma Centre and Critical Care Hospital Block at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jodhpur,’ and seven Critical Care Blocks under the Pradhan Mantri – Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) to be developed across Rajasthan. Additionally, he will lay the foundation stone for a new terminal building at Jodhpur Airport and dedicate the IIT Jodhpur campus to the nation.
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate multiple road development projects in Rajasthan, with a cumulative cost of about ₹1,475 crore. These projects include the Jodhpur Ring Road, aimed at easing traffic congestion and reducing vehicular pollution in the city. Furthermore, he will flag off two new train services in Rajasthan: the Runicha Express connecting Jaisalmer to Delhi and a heritage train connecting Marwar Junction to Khambli Ghat. Additionally, he will dedicate rail projects for the doubling of the ‘Degana-Rai Ka Bagh’ rail line and the ‘Degana-Kuchaman City’ rail line.
In Madhya Pradesh, the Prime Minister will perform bhoomi poojan for the ‘Veerangana Rani Durgavati Smarak aur Udyaan’ in Jabalpur, a project estimated to cost around ₹100 crore. The memorial and garden will span approximately 21 acres and include a 52-foot-high bronze statue of Rani Durgavati, a museum highlighting the history of the Gondwana region, and exhibits showcasing the culture and way of life of the Gond people and other tribal communities.
In addition to these initiatives, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Light House Project in Indore, built at a cost of about ₹128 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban, benefiting over 1,000 beneficiary families. He will also lay the foundation stone for multiple Jal Jeevan Mission projects in Mandla, Jabalpur, and Dindori districts, with a combined value of over ₹2,350 crore, aiming to provide safe and adequate drinking water through individual household tap connections.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister will dedicate the Jal Jeevan Mission project in the Seoni district, worth over ₹100 crore, to the nation. These projects in four districts of Madhya Pradesh will benefit around 1,575 villages. Prime Minister Modi will also lay the foundation stone and dedicate projects worth over ₹4,800 crore for improving the road infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, he will dedicate rail projects worth over ₹1,850 crore to enhance rail infrastructure in the state. The Prime Minister will also dedicate the Vijaipur-Auraiya-Phulpur Pipeline Project and lay the foundation stone for the Nagpur Jabalpur section of the Mumbai Nagpur Jharsuguda Pipeline Project. Lastly, he will dedicate a new bottling plant in Jabalpur, aiming to provide clean and affordable natural gas to industries and homes, thus reducing environmental emissions.
