Actress Rakhi Sawant Returns from Umrah Pilgrimage, Welcomed by Fans at Airport
Former Bigg Boss contestant Rakhi Sawant recently completed her Umrah pilgrimage in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, accompanied by a few friends. Upon her return to India on Thursday morning, she received a warm welcome from some fans at the airport, who greeted her with garlands and floral showers.
As she exited the airport gate, Rakhi Sawant playfully told the paparazzi gathered around her, “Rakhi nahi, Fatima bolo (Not Rakhi, call me Fatima).” In response to her request, the photographers began addressing her as Fatima. While a man attempted to place a garland around her neck, she stepped back but accepted the garland from his hand. She did, however, allow a woman to place another garland around her neck.
When a reporter inquired if she had officially changed her name in her documents, Rakhi responded, “God made me just like this; He loves me just the way I am. He doesn’t require me to alter documents or my name.”

Rakhi Sawant reportedly converted to Islam for her marriage to Adil Khan. However, their relationship took a tumultuous turn as she accused him of being abusive, leading to a police report against him. Adil Khan was also accused of rape by another woman and was arrested in February. The couple has since engaged in public spats and held press conferences in Mumbai, airing their grievances against each other in the media.
Rakhi shared multiple videos from her Umrah pilgrimage on Instagram, although some criticized her for attempting to gain publicity from the religious journey. She tearfully addressed the various allegations made against her by Adil while standing near the Kaaba in Mecca.
In a recent interview, Adil claimed that Rakhi was in contact with her ex-partner Ritesh during their marriage and even visited him. Rakhi had initially told Adil that she was on a work-related UK tour, but he later discovered messages indicating that she spent that week with Ritesh and regretted marrying Adil.
While Rakhi alleged in her FIR that Adil physically abused her, he countered by claiming that she assaulted him when he requested a divorce. He also presented a video displaying bruises on his body.
